Areas of Practice
Representation through the entire criminal process including police interviews, preliminary arraignment, preliminary hearing, formal arraignment, pretrial motions, pretrial conferences, guilty pleas, trials, and sentencings. Retaining an attorney does not make you look guilty, it makes you look smart.
Our office will help with any and all environmental law issues. Our office can be consulted for permitting issues, compliance issues, and contract reviews.
After your criminal case appears final, our office can handle any and all appeals that are available. Appeal work includes post-sentence motions, motions for reconsideration, appeals to the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Utilizing Attorney Smith's Civil Engineering and Construction Management background, our office is able to review construction documents including the contract, specifications, design drawings and completed projects to help settle contract disputes.
POST-CONVICTION COLLATERAL RELIEF ACT
Along with appeals, criminal defendants are entitled to file a Post-Conviction Relief Act Petition after all other appeals are exhausted. The PCRA Petition allows a new attorney to take a fresh look at your case and determine if any constitutional rights were violated and whether trial counsel was ineffective.
WILLS & ESTATES
Our office provides full service in the area of wills and estates. We are able to help you plan for the future by doing a medical power of attorney, financial power of attorney, wills, trusts, and helping settle the estates.
